"Everyone else does it"

One time I used this statement was when I was a freshman in high school and I wanted my lip pierced. I saw everyone with one and I thought it was nice. So one day I got home and I told my mom I wanted to get one. She told me I was crazy and that I should forget about that and focus on school. My response to her was "Its not fair I want to get one, everyone else does it why cant I do it?" That day I got a big lesson on piercings on bodies, wasn't a good idea I thought after a while. After that I just got my piercing done with her permission.

    Ms.Quaid I told her that it would be the last thing I would bug her about and also that she wouldn't be paying, all I needed was the permission.
